Okay, today has unofficially been declared “Bey Day”!! If you’re tardy to the party, Beyonce just shook the world with the release of her super “hush-hush” brand spankin’ new visual album..simply entitled “Beyoncé” that hit Itunes this morning. Good Lawd…I can’t believe this woman managed to headline a world tour, while recording new music, and shooting videos for all (14) songs on this CD…Damn Girl..Werk!!
Here’s what the Queen had to say about this unprecedented strategic industry surprise:
“I see music. It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.”
“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it,” she continued. “I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans. I just want to give my album to the people I love and respect and hope that they feel the same thing I felt when I made the music,” the singer said.
This is Bey’s fifth LP and features tracks with some stellar favorites such as Jay Z, Drake, Frank Ocean and her baby girl Blue Ivy. Apparently, manufacturing of the physical copies starts today and of course, the double disc CD/DVD will be in stores in time for the holidays. Wooooo..marketing GENIUS! This is exactly why Bey continues to reign as the “Queen B” in this game!! I’m telling you if this woman doesn’t inspire you to dream bigger and grind harder…then I’m doubting you have a pulse honey.
