The Queen has spoken! Beyonce stands firm and declares that she’s not bossy, but she is most definitely the boss in a new campaign launched by Facebook’s COO, businesswoman and author Sheryl Sandberg. According to the campaign’s website, this initiative is to “Encourage Girls and Boys Equally to Lead.” They are on a mission to dispel the use of words such as “bossy”, “pushy”, & “stubborn” when associated with female leadership. Apparently, they are not the only ones that feel strongly about this either. Some of the most powerful women in entertainment, business and politics have joined forces with Sandberg’s LeanIn.org, The Girls Scouts of America and The Lifetime Network to end the stereotyping and to encourage leadership in young women.
Joining Beyonce in the featured campaign are actresses Jane Lynch and Jennifer Gardner, fashion icon Diane Von Furstenberg, designer and singer Victoria Beckham, former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and CNN foreign correspondent Christiane Amanpour.
