Currently Crushing On….Rompers & Jumpsuits

Last week, New York City was literally “Blazing Hip-Hop & R&B” with heat indexes that seemed to be creeping over 100 degrees every single day. Seriously.. I went to throw out the trash one morning and I swear I saw the Devil himself playing hop-scotch on my front porch. Yes…it was that hot. This is actually my first summer working from home and I can’t tell you how much I was praising the good lord above for not having to venture out in that wicked NYC heat. Honestly, on the days when I couldn’t stay glued to my AC and I just had to venture out into Hades, my only saving grace was my trusty rompers and jumpsuits.

Rompers and jumpsuits are truly a gift from the fashion Gods. They are my summer go to staples and my secret fashion weapon to surviving the scorching NYC summers. Especially because they’re comfortable, easy to wear, multifunctional, and effortlessly chic! They’re also extremely versatile and can be worn for a myriad of occasions: For everyday wear, you can pair your jumpsuit or romper with cute sandals or ballet flats, some funky jewelry, and a shoulder bag and your good to go. For the office, you can dress your romper up with a blazer and a cute belt to give it a more structured look, and for a night out on the town I like to throw on my highest heels, add some statement jewelry, a hot clutch and BOOM… I’m out the door and looking summertime fine in literally no time at all!
