Lately, I’ve been wrestling with a serious lack of motivation and frustration while dealing with some health issues. So in an effort to lift me out of my funk, one of my blogger buddies sent me a cool “Pamper Me” basket filled with some really great beauty products …can we say, instant pick me up?!?!
Well, in the midst of tearing thru my new goodies, my eyes immediately gravitated to OPI’s “Kiss Me I’m Brazilian” nail polish. Not only is this color the perfect pop of vibrant pink needed to kick off my “countdown to summer”, but it’s also a homage to my South American roots! Yep…you can really kiss me, because I’m Brazilian! (Well, at least 25% of me is..Lol). Anyway, since I was so in love with the color, I set out to find a few more shades to round out my new summer staples and I stumbled upon the entire OPI Brazil Spring / Summer 2014 Collection!
The Brazil Spring / Summer 2014 collection introduces (12) beautiful and bold shades inspired by the rich culture & vibrant colors of Brazil’s luscious rainforest and picturesque sandy beaches.
According to OPI Co-Founder and Executive Vice President Suzi Weiss-Fischmann:
“With sun-soaked shores, tropical fruits, and lush flora/fauna, Brazil is such an inspiring locale… I wanted women around the world to embrace the energy and playfulness for which Brazilian women are known. Through the Brazil collection, with shades drenched in color and charged with shine, women can express themselves, showing off their sexy, mysterious, fun and exciting natures.”
I think OPI really nailed the collection. The colors are bright, fun, and very pretty! They’re definitely conjuring up images of Carnival and Ipanema for me. I’m actually so over winter, that I’ve pretty much banished all of my usual vampy Fall / Winter colors. So, the pink “Kiss Me I’m Brazilian” shade is definitely my new favorite color right now. The polish was very creamy and opaque so I only needed two coats, and it was very shiny as well. Check out the swatches of the entire collection below:
In addition to these (12) shades, the Brazil launch also includes a set of four limited edition Beach Sandies Liquid Sand mini neon nail polishes in purple, pink, turquoise and yellow shades with a textured, matte finish.
Brazil by OPI retails for $9.00 and the mini set is going for $12.95. However, I found both on Amazon for a wee bit cheaper. The polishes are $6.95 and the set is going for $9.85, with FREE shipping to boot! I’m definitely thinking about collecting them ALL!
Yea or Nay on the collection? Do you think you’ll be picking up a piece of Brazil to add to your personal stash?
